Linen Care and Responsibility

To ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay, we have invested in premium hotel-quality linen for all our queen-sized beds. In our effort to keep nightly rates affordable, we do not charge a cleaning or linen fee as part of your booking. We trust that our guests will treat our home and its furnishings with care.

While we understand that accidents can happen, we kindly ask that you communicate any issues honestly. This allows us to work with our professional launderer to clean and restore items promptly.

Please be aware that certain substances can be particularly challenging to remove from our linen:

Pet Marks:

Red Basalt dirt paw prints from dogs on our white linen doona covers and sheets do not wash out. If you choose to let your pet sleep on the beds, please ensure their paws are clean and dry beforehand.

Oil/Silicone-Based Lubricants, Fake Tanning Products, Make-up/Foundation, Crayon, Ink and Red Skin Lollies:

These cause yellowing of our linen during washing and these products do not wash out of our linen.

Suitcase Marks:

Rubber wheel marks from suitcases cannot be removed. We kindly ask that you avoid packing and unpacking on our white linen and use the floor instead.

As stated in our House Rules, it is the responsibility of the hirer to cover any costs associated with damage to our linen caused by pets or guests during your stay. When damage occurs, we must retire affected items from service to maintain our standard of perfectly white linen for our guests.

We have noticed that some guests attempt to conceal stains or damage by stripping the beds or hiding them with pillows. While this can be amusing, we inevitably find the damage.

We appreciate your honesty in reporting any issues, which helps us avoid sending awkward follow-up emails regarding replacement costs.
